Sammy Schultz
My name is Sammy Schultz and I competed in the Tokyo Olympics in the sport of modern pentathlon which consists of fencing, swimming, equestrian, running, and shooting. I grew up as a multi-sport athlete in Colorado with my first sport of skiing at the age of 2. I never thought I would be able to compete in so many events that I enjoyed until I found pentathlon at the age of 18. I thought this was too late to make a run for the Olympics, but I kept pursuing and working hard over the years. I kept after it and even after many injuries, hip surgery, becoming an alternate in 2016, I finally qualified and competed at the Tokyo Olympics! I am also a 7-time US National Champion and am in the US Army.
